Malaysia Ranks Number 1 In South East Asia For Highest Crime Rate

Malaysia ranked highest in crime rate in ASEAN;top 2 highest in Asia; top 15 in the world!

Malaysia is the most dangerous country, the last country anyone concern about safety want to live. Every minutes and second here is a risk and suffering for me.

Despite relatively wealthy and has been performing well in terms of economy (oil producing country) but its crime rate has not gone down in comparison to its neighbor, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia, despite spending more on it.

Not difficult to spot Malaysia cities rank top of crime rate and being highest mode (appear most frequent) in top crime rate cities. Naturally Malaysia also having the lowest safety index, meaning people is not feeling safe.

This graph is prima facie of Malaysia's poor performance in terms of fighting crime. Elsewhere in the world crime rate is falling but Malaysia is higher than year 1990.

Thailand bordering West Malaysia, cut down crime rate more than half from 1990. There's tremendous improvement in safety.

Indonesia bordering East Malaysia and sharing sea border with Malaya is also cutting down their crime rate tremendously.

Almost all Malaysian is oblivion& gullible about the situation. The biggest impediment to improvement is perpetual denial on the problem and Asian culture of viewing critics as attack rather than opportunity for improvement.

I've written to Malaysia Home Minister&DPM Zaid and Commissioner more than 3years ago about the issues but seems like fallen on deaf ears. Problem in Malaysia is any negative feedback is deem as attack or political threat. Whether the previous BN or PH, political situation is extremely tense until they are unable to view matter objectively and neglect their intrinsic duty ensued.

UMNO (government political party) member even politically&morally support handphone robber that robbed hand phone broad daylight. It become a racial issues when a Malay lad robbed hand phone from a Chinese shop. Instead of view it as crime the politician make it a racial attack and not only backup the robber but use public fund amounting to millions of ringgit to open a retail space purposely for Malay. Is the government supporting crime?

They set up all-bumiputera Tech Mall using public money just to rival another local business (lowyat) because a Malay robbed a phone from a Chinese malaysian owned shop? What is the rationale? The all-bumiputera tech mall went down not long after operation, losing millions of ringgit…how to fight crime if everything is politicize and made into racial issues?

Malaysia, the bolehland! (Everything is possible) defying all logic. Victim is being insulted just because they are not Muslim whereas criminal is triumph as hero just because he is Malay and Muslim?

Is rules of law still apply? Apparently not. Judiciary independent had been eroded since 4th Prime Minister allerged made Lord President of Federal Court and those Chief Justice retire. This is how power play to safeguard politician position.

Infamous police image is not without reason, from traffic police bribery to something big, police beat up people (exjudicial) without probable cause and tort cases (police refuse to carry out court order). I do express my sympathy to good cops because it is an uphill battle to clean their image but until there's significant improvement and crime rate really subside, people have the freedom of speech and critics them. The very purpose of democracy is to allow people to voice out, critics so that government make improvement and protect the interest of people, not protect politician's image or their wallet.

Image and branding is an experience can not solely depend on advertisements. When situation improve their image will automatically improve. So let do it together. Fight crime is everyone responsibility (not just police alone) but as commoner we don't have power to act otherwise it is exjudicial. We only help by report incident to law enforcer which many here don't and sometimes police refuse to accept report. Not only Malaysian loss faith in police but most of the time people take matter to their own hands.

Example of short-fuse temperament of Malaysian. This is not exjudicial but an assault. Such incident would not happen if the perpetrator been to Vietnam, India or China. Honk is norm and in fact is bylaw requirement in others country but Malaysian would view it as attack or insult thus would retaliate. Savage? Barbaric? This is just typical Malaysian.

Anyone sensible person wouldn't want to live in Malaysia. If not because of COVID I won't return and stuck in Malaysia and would not doubt migrate out for good and get a citizenship of a safe country.

I'm not sure whether Malaysia honorific title bestow by rulers contribute to crime rate but most of them, in my personal opinion, act like gangster, as if they are being elevated into demigods or having special legal immunity but no law given any legal immunity to title holders. Royalty absolute legal immunity has been removed in 1994, thereafter even royalty is subject to prosecution under special court under the Constitution.

Honorific decoration is solely ruler's prerogative and I respect it but I would not accept any of it until racist policy is removed and quality of existing title holders improve, unless I've changed my citizenship. I do think the giving should be tighten up to assure its quality.

Malaysia is not a mature country even compare to younger country. Stunted growth or what, I don't know. But power come with responsibility although titled person do not have legal immunity bylaw but the public and law enforcer believe such invisible force exist.

I do think our King and most royalty are good and love the country more than anyone but they may not be well inform of what is happening and might not know the true sentiment of their non-malay citizen. We love our King and country not lesser than Malay despite being treated unfairly and outright marginalized. We pay tribute to Malay royalty during British& Japanese occupation and we still equally respect and love our Malay king now. Non-malay loyalty is undeniable and hope government recognize racial issues and attend to it.

Without Prejudices - For Singapore Climate Change Dissidents

My objective writing to Singapore's Attorney General is hope there's synergy cooperation between Singapore government and dissident. 

Economy stagnantation due to COVID19 will be burdensome for government around the world including Singapore. Thus, climate change activists should not exacerbate the situation by creating unnecessary protest or pressure to government but to work hand-in-hand to find viable solution targeting carbon emission reduction.  

From legal point of view, I do not think some laws inherited from colonial era still relevant and effective since most of them are inconsistent with Constitution. Constitution is the supreme law of the land and shall prevail against any law made inconsistent with it thus it doesn't show any wisdom for Singapore to keep those obsolete law that suppress the civil liberty of the people. Those law were made to facilitate British control over their colony with purpose none other than gaining profit for themselves rather than protect the interest of local people. British is not wrong because this is what all other colonial master do but to keep them alive after independent is a sign of weakness in Singapore democracy and make the country look so frail to stand as an independent sovereignty. However, Singapore still far better compare to any country within ASEAN in terms of equality and judiciary independence. 

 

Confusing, preposterous and rhetorical tweets from Dr. Mahathir on 29 Oct 2020.

 In regard to the tweets from Dr. Mahathir, Former Prime Minister of Malaysia& currently Member of Parliament, twitter account dated 29th October 2020, I think it is absolutely preposterous and abhorrent. 

*Police should investigate and confirm whether Dr. Mahathir indeed commented on France terror attack in his Twitter account. Cunning and deny every wrongdoings is his forte.

None of the tweets make any sense. Not difficult to see he is misogynistic(gender bias), undemocratic, selfish& irresponsible. Those tweets carry rhetorical agenda. Perhaps to gain political mileage to come back the third time as PM. 

Respond to Mahathir 1st tweet, may I know how is it justifiable to vent anger by killing a human just because of a caricature? 

How it is not Islam radicalising people when people from others religion will not react violently for such trivial matters? 

Privileged Immunity

To Mahathir 2nd tweet. 'Killing is not an act of Muslim he would approve' and hope the sufism Islam Malaysia preach the same message. However, his 12th tweets approved the killing by quoted "angry people kill". If he would to refer the Algerian war between 1954 to 1962 then it has got nothing to do with religion or angry.

This may be the reason why Mahathir would quote "angry people kill" because Muslim always hallucinate of having 'priveledged immunity' and cultivated to belief Islam is absolutely right (and intolerance to people from others religion) thus easily being radicalised and commit violence in the name of Allah/Islam. 

Another possibility for Mahathir disagreed Muslim for the killing might because showing of caricature of Mohammed is not blasphemy in the past. China CCTV proven that. However, Muslim radicalism is beyond what between permissible. in general Muslim are instill with the notion to eliminate all non-muslim (disbeliever of Islam).

I totally disagree with him on his 3rd tweet. It is as if he had forgotten May13 incident where Chief of Armed Force Tunku Osman Jiwa and Inspector General Police Salleh bin Ismael order 'shoot-to-kill order' to 2,000 Royal Malay Regiment army and 3,600 police to kill innocent Malaysian Chinese. 

Thereafter the massacre, NEP (New Economy Policy) was introduced to exacerbate the situation that systematically marginalizing minority ethnic (mostly Malaysian Chinese&Indian) in almost all aspect of life. 

Article: Prior attempt to kill non-muslim. 

Not sure May13 massacre was a pre-planned or not but it does coincide with Quran 9:29 and Hadith Sahih 19:4294 perfectly. 

Quran (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued

Sahih Muslim (19:4294) - "Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war... When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these, you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them... If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah's help and fight them."

All the police and army deployed under the shoot-to-kill order were Muslim. Not only no prosecution them thereafter the massacre (as if killing people is OK) but NEP or jizya were introduced to levy on non-muslim (as defined by article 160- Constitution).

NEP has been ongoing for 51 years and still haunting Malaysia minority ethnics (non-muslim). If only his tweet 7th refer to this but less likely so. 

Hence, Malay/Muslim is not sensitive but oppressive and only stop violence because the non-muslim is paying jizya (NEP) as per Quran 9:29. However, non-muslim have to be sensitive because our life is at stake! 

Mahathir's 10th tweet is applicable for himself when he was Prime Minister of Malaysia.

His 4th, 8th & 9th tweets about copying west clothing and becoming wearing less. It seems like either he just born yesterday or he is alien to Malaysia because the reality is just opposite. 

Malay barely wear anything (probably topless and totally naked) prior to Srivijaya era. Sarong were introduced by the Indian. Likewise, the Orang Asli and indigenous people of Borneo(East Malaysia) were largely naked prior to the arrival of westerners. It is the west (especially the industrialization) that introduce modern clothing to Malaysia and make clothing affordable. 

Without Indian, Chinese and The west introduced more proper clothing to Malay, indigenous of Borneo (also Austronesian, share same ancestor with Malay) and Orang Asli (Negritos, Proto-Malay), they probably still naked living in the jungle. Nevertheless, how much clothing to put on or nude is individual freedom. 

Nudity as indecency bylaw is influenced by culture and religious beliefs politician want people to believe they having! 

Being nude is not wrong morally if it does not cause harm to anyone. How Muslim perceive it as consent for rape is a matter of self-control they obviously lack of. 

Malay didn't wear hijab in the 80's. Hijab is a relatively new trend as Islamism becoming more aggressive. 

Arrival of westerner bring civilization and more clothing to Malay. 

Borneo women were naked. If it is tradition then what's wrong? Isn't it is the west following our traditional fashion?

France didn't stop Islam country like Iran to impose rule for wearing hijab so where come the force others? France only impose rules in their own country for the safety of their people.

For Mahathir's 5th & 6th tweets, please don't forget, Malay is not the first people arrived in Malaya or Borneo, it is the Negritos (orang asli). Did Malay ask their permission to land? Did Malay get permission before alter the land? In fact, not only orang asli did not enjoy the special privileges allocated only for the Malay but their rights also being denied. Constantly being force to convert to Islam. 

If his 5th tweet's late comer refer to Malaysia minority ethnics (Malaysian chinese& Indian mostly non-muslim) then he is right because if more Chinese and Indian would to migrate earlier then Malaysia would probably more develop now. 

New ideas, science&technology and hardship invested in Malaysia by these LATER comer (that can be trace more than 5 generation and as early as year 1400) contributed most of Malaysia economy development despite being minority. 

Muslim tend to be misogyny, narrow minded and not open to new ideas and changes probably due to the edicts of Islam caliph that Quran can not be change. The intolerance, misogyny, inflexible& xenophobia(treat non-muslim as foreigners/enemy) nature of Islam may lead to Muslim resistance to the new ideas. 

Nonetheless, some verses of Quran were abrogated and replaced by Mohammed himself. This proof that Quran is not evergreen and it can be changed. It was Caliph Othman that prevent further amendment of Quran in afraid of dispute that lead to bloodshed within Muslim at that time because there's several version of Quran emerged and authenticity is hard to confirm. 

Mahathir 5th &6th Tweet, Not wrong to say men&women are physically different but it is this differences that should empower women to defense for themselves through universal suffrage and adequate representation in Parliament, especially in this region where men are apathy. 

Democracy always care for the voiceless and upholding the principle of equality. He don't seems to understand what is democracy and human rights. 

Mahathir's tweet 10th overtly deny France sovereignty and disrespect to freedom of religious beliefs. It is freedom of religion that French can have freedom of choice to belief whichever religion or not to belief any at all (atheist). 

This is exemplary for freedom of believe and faith in a democratic country Malaysia should follow. This freedom is guaranteed by France Constitution that we all should respect their sovereignty right, especially it is a very good law. 

Since it is a law, France should enforce it so that everyone enjoy the freedom. Those who disrespect freedom of others shall not be respected in return.

Quran (9:123) - "O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness." 

There are over hundreds of violence verses in Quran and Hadith Muslim obligated to follow. All these are risk and threat to society (especially for non-muslim) and not just because of one or two killing incident by the Muslim. Thus, not wrong to say 'Islam is in crisis' because it is what the book (Islamic teaching) translating in real life. 

Mahathir 11th tweet about the killing "is not keeping with the teaching of islam", is not accurate because it is indeed within Islam teaching to kill for those committed besphemy (although the definition of besphemy maybe open) or just any non-muslim (disbeliever to Islam). 

Probably, the Islam Mahathir understood in his life is not what the Islam original value or maybe he is just being an apologist to disassociate Islam for the crime committed. 

This is preposterous because Islam is base on Quran and Quran is violence. Reaction from Muslim worldwide also endorsed the crime is Islamic. 

Thus, Who is disrespecting others value& religion? 

There is no law in France prohibit Muslim from their religious practices as long as it does not break the law. 

In which area France is disrespecting others value? 

Everyone is free to practice their religion in the West. Unlike Malaysia where non-muslim is bind by conditions and receiving unequal treatment despite contributed the most. 

If Malaysia respect freedom of religious believe then Article 160 of Malaysia constitution should not bind Malay to Islam and afforded special privileges to Malay under article 153. 

The existence of law is for public order and peace. If anyone can kill people as they wish then what law is for? 

Normally, parent complain to principal about discrimination. In extreme case report to police. There's many avenue in France to let his grievances heard. Glorify killing is akin to inducing more terrorism. 

Emmamuel Macron is not primitive, he is civilize since he pathway for legal recourse for all people disregard race &religion thus he is also not anti-islam because law apply to all. 

Algerian war is not as a result of angry French. The war is not related to religion. Is Mahathir trying to confuse people worldwide that French had killed many Muslim thus it is OK to kill French in return? 

Angry because French kill many Muslim in the past? 

He don't even know basic rules of law. Should his children and grandchildren be prosecuted for his cronyism, corruption& squandering public money? Of course no, unless they too involved. 

So why French people have to be punish for their grandfather/ancestor killing? 

Furthermore, it was war, killing is inevitable. He should not compare religion and colonization. Nature of colonization is to extract resources and profit from it. Whereas religion is for mental& spiritual growth and social well-being. No others religion other than Islam ask to kill or persecute others. This is the different between islam and others religion. 

What sort of punishment Mahathir think fit for the French? 

I would suggest French to erect a friendship monuments to express regret on the lost from both sides due to the war. 

Should Malay be punish for their crime in May13 massacre? 

If yes, how? 

I would rather Malaysia King and Prime Minister officially apologize to victim of May13 massacre and minority that suffering from unequal treatment due to NEP, as well as, abolish the foolish article 153 (special privileges) and article 160 (Malay definition). We don't want to kill Malay (they are our friend), we just want dignity and equality.

Mahathir words(if indeed his) is misleading& dangerous. As MP represent Langkawi, he shall be accountable for his words. He is not commoner. his word bring impact and may cause real damage as he is financially and personally capable of inflicting such terrorism. He should be prosecuted and Malaysia government should come out to distance the country from his personal statement.

Suggestions to counter forgery of Malaysia national examination (SPM) and public university certificate (Part 2).

 Open Letter to Ministry of Education, Malaysia.

First of all, I would like to make correction that the word "validation" therein (in my suggestion) should be "verification". 

I notice your Ministry had make checking of SPM result available online which is very progressive. My suggestions are:

 1. make available for thirty party to check SPM result online with IC and SPM certificate series number as passcode. 

2. Result and statistics can publish online in PDF, Microsoft excel or any fix document (unable to edit). 

3. Any changes to the result, for example reseat and appeal, should be published separately. The reason being is when series number is peg with the result and total number of ratings (e.g. A, B, C, F), it is not easy to change or switch, while it give protection to the graduate privacy, in a way that only those have IC number and copy of SPM able to check the result from online. 

4. No name is reveal in the online check thus could not simply check by name. 

5. Any changes to the system should be authorized and recorded, time, date, by who, which computer& etc, to provide traceability.

6. Digital scan all examination paper for record and archive. Prepare an example answer for subjective question and answer for objective question. For future reference when necessary. The archive should be keep separately with the agency for certification. 

Scenario 1- switch result :

Mr. Ali with SPM series no. 123 failed all subject had been switched to Mr. Abu result of 9As SPM cert series No. 321. When Abu apply for a job his employer will notice the discrepancy and notify the Ministry of Education for investigation. 

Scenario 2- change result:

Mr. Ali fails all subject in SPM. He pays Rm500 to change the result to 4As. But the result published in the school only got 40 people got A in English and 5000 people got A in English nationwide, that year, which make the changes not tally with the total amount. Ministry of Education immediately notices the problem. 

Scenario 3- change result and statistics:

A grandmaster of forgery. When Mr. Ali is recruited because of his forged good SPM result but unable to perform. His employer may request Ministry of Education to double check the result thus Education Ministry may open up his examination paper and cross check with the answer sheets. The answer sheet provides an idea of how the marking is done at that time. This is to be fair because the answer applicable to all that time might not be as good now. If found Mr. Ali examination paper is not tally with his result then ministry& his employer may investigate and launch a police report. 

Needless to mention about the negative impacts of forgery of academy qualifications, it kills Malaysia image and very unfair to those who truly deserve a better opportunity for further study and career advancement. 

I hope you see the seriousness in the matter. If I know it only cost Rm500 to change my SPM result, I wouldn't take tuition class that cost me Rm600. I might as well get a UKM degree in Law right after my SPM and start charging a professional fee giving legal advice. Why am I not getting any payment despite sender many advise? Lack of certification? I can not imagine how I would live my life with a fake certificate but surely I won't trust any SPM or public university qualifications from Malaysia anymore until you make good of them problem.

Do I support LGBTQ? I do not oppose LGBTQ. I support decriminalize LGBT but doesn’t means I encourage it; not promoting straight people to go LGBT. 

Two main reasons attributed to my belief are;

1. My principle that align with democracy where everyone shall enjoy their fundamental rights, as long as, it does not cause any harm to others.

2. Advocate for the voiceless, persecuted, and marginalized group, especially those victim of ‘hidden crime’, within my capacity, when it is safe for me to do so. 

I belief LGBT is characteristic at birth, meaning natural manifestation. Especially the intersex. Everyone have the right to live according to what their nature dictate, meaning if a person sex and gender is conforming to culture norm then so it be. Likewise, those who found themselves born not within the culture norm (not exactly male or female) also should have the equal right and treated. 

Intersex is born naturally with genital abnormality (not binary). Probably range from 1 to 2000 to 100,000 depending on which spectrum.

Of course, transgender may be those underwent sex-change operation plus some cosmetic surgery procedures to make sense to their ultimate desire. If it is out of ze own volition then it may be under the effects of zim born psychological and/or hormonal influence which is no doubt natural, according to God’s will. 

Well, which God? While there are no short of religious belief prohibit or even impose death penalty for being LGBT but it shall not discount that there are also others religious belief that allow for the third gender/homosexuality and those that never mentioning about it at all.  

Everyone belief vary, types and magnitude, and thus everyone’s God too. Therefore religious law shall only be regulated within personal atmosphere. No doubt communal worship/service and certain amount of homogeneity achieved within a religion is good to prevent bloodshed raised out of ego and ignorance. A civilized and matured society would respect others faith and not causing any inconvenience while practice his own. likewise, homosexual may choose to return to be straight and vice versa. 

I’m a straight, heterosexual, meaning I was born male and only interested to have relationship with female (opposite sex). I am unable to comprehend why and how one’s homosexual life is. I neither agree a straight trying to become LGBT nor I would promote LGBT to anyone. But surely, I will never agree anyone to commit non-consensual sex or what terms as ‘rape’, whether on straight or LGBT, which is why I would support the decriminalization of LGBT, is align with my reason no. 2. 

The repercussions of continue criminalize homosexuality, as in majority of the commonwealth country (remaining 36 countries) still do, is as a result of what left by the British Buggery Act 1577, the first Sodomy Civil Law, that was passed during Henry VII era. Most Islamic country enjoying the continuum, probably due to extreme similarity of the Christian’s ecclesiastic where Islamic law copied from.  India have just joined the other 16 commonwealth countries that decriminalized homosexuality. I wrote a letter to The Supreme Court and Justice Indu Malhotra to congratulate on the landmark judgement, dated 6th September 2018.  

Whether we like it or not, human is a territorial animal. Border is drawn on maps and rule differently according to the sovereign state government and people. Each country law on homosexuality differ, depending on the culture but one thing for sure is LGBT have yet to tally with mainstream in any part of the world. Even for the most advanced society like American, LGBT community continue facing difficulties such as; 

1. Being fired for who they are(LGBT).

2. Denied basic public accommodation (e.g. from admission to movie theatre to customize baking cake).

3. Not protected under hate crime/ social discrimination

4. Consensual sex still illegal

5. Deny from donating blood

6. Struggle to obtain parents custody

7. Not accept by major religious denominations, even those straight openly support LGBT is being discriminated.

8. Most of the queer people are not protected by anti-bully initiatives.

9. Sexual health education often don’t include LGBT

10. Seldom provide adequate healthcare because of stigma and discrimination.

11. Hindrances in hospital visitation for non-heterosexual partner that are sick and dying.

Needless to say, the suffering they have to endeavour in developing country is even more severe. Hidden crime, such as rape, physical assault, bully, disowned by family, and society discrimination, just because of being who they are, is rampant and blatantly ignored by authority. Where is the humanity?  

I am not sure the degree of awareness in law and adherence of it in developing country, as it seems to me the culture of ‘cash is king’ is very much prevalence. Privileged LGBT may not face as much persecution as those who are not. Those without ‘background’ may being abused and no where to turn to. No protected by law, neither the police nor general public, as if they are alien from another planet.
